Mother Nature threw us a curve ball this year. That didn't do too much to disuade over a thousand dedicated plungers to show their gumption and take on the chilly Atlantic Ocean on a cold and very wet February afternoon. As always, Special Olympics Virginia received outstanding coporate support from companies who really do care about Special Olympics - Booz-Allen-Hamilton, Virginia Natural Gas, WTKR News Channel-3, Hardee's Restaurants, GEICO, along with community support from our friends at radio stations 106.9 The Fox (WAFX-FM) and FM-99 (WNOR-FM), along with a multitude of others, made for a special way to raise $1,000,000.00 - yep, that's ONE MILLION DOLLARS to support Special Olympics Virginia. Thanks to one and all for your tremendous and continued support!!
